Veterans Day is Thursday, Nov. 11, a day to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. To salute these brave servicemen and women, restaurants around Atlanta restaurants are offering discounts and specials. Here are a few of our favorites:

• Southern Proper Hospitality restaurants—The Southern Gentleman, Gypsy Kitchen, Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails, The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, Chico & Padre’s, Tin Lizzy’s and Ocean & Acre—offer all active and retired military veterans 50% off their meal and a guest’s meal.

• Lunchtime favorite Cowboy Chicken in McDonough offers a 15% discount to all military.
