Cowboy Chicken, PITA and Zunzi’s Recognized as Top Restaurant Movers & Shakers

Fast Casual magazine’s annual list of the Top 100 Movers & Shakers is out, celebrating brands that are leading the fast casual restaurant industry in growth and sales accomplishments as well as in setting trends and incorporating technology to enhance the customer experience. Among the Atlanta-area restaurants and owners recognized this year are Cowboy Chicken, PITA Mediterranean Street Food and Zunzi’s.

For the 12th consecutive year, Cowboy Chicken makes the list for its consistent growth and strategic expansion into Florida and small-concept store prototype. The wood-fired rotisserie chicken chain earned the 20th slot on the list, a significant leap from 72nd place in 2021. PITA, at #52, is recognized for the third consecutive year for streamlining operations in response to consumer demand, almost tripling off-premise dining sales and adding Street Wraps to the menu. PITA CEO and founder Nour Rabai also was recognized among Fast Casual’s Top 25 Executives. Zunzi’s, at #64, earned a spot for the first time by refining its model and awarding franchises via multi-unit development agreements in 10 Southeastern states and relocating and expanding its original Savannah store to a larger location to include a Zunzibar, a full-bar concept. CEO Chris Smith also was recognized among Fast Casual’s Top 25 Executives.
