Rreal Tacos Acquires Uncle Jack's Tavern in Lawrenceville

Lawrenceville’s popular South Lawn development is getting a food and beverage boost with the addition of Rreal Tacos, its newest restaurant tenant gearing up to serve the thriving downtown area. The authentic Mexican street food favorite, that’s rapidly expanding across metro Atlanta’s dining scene, has acquired the space formerly occupied by Uncle Jack’s Tavern in the heart of Lawrenceville’s entertainment district. The prime location at 30 South Clayton Street is one block from Lawrenceville Square, near the amphitheater.

Owned by CEO Damian Otero and COO Miguel Hernandez, Rreal Tacos is launching new eateries in record time. By acquiring second-generation restaurant spaces and training new employees on an ongoing basis, they open faster and spend less in the process.

“We were about to start construction for our new Lawrenceville location in the same building as Uncle Jack’s Tavern,” says CEO Damian Otero. “When we found out that the space was available—one that was already built and looked great—we jumped on it. Moving into this existing restaurant space instead means we can open our doors to the community even sooner.”

The 4,800-square-foot space boasts a huge indoor-outdoor patio, two bars and seating for 200 guests.

“We are continuing to grow at a record pace, working quickly and efficiently to bring our signature flavor to neighborhoods all across the Atlanta area,” says Otero. “Lawrenceville is booming, and South Lawn’s retail and restaurant options have infused the downtown district with an exciting energy.
