Stay Local Kick-Off Cocktail & Chef Demo

Gearing up for the holidays at home? Join Atlanta bartender Mercedes O’Brien of SippN at Home, former beverage director of Cold Beer and Gunshow, and Chef Cary Ruf of Gunshow for a hands-on cocktail and cooking demonstration.

Mercedes will teach us to how make a proper cocktail at home using at-home pantry staples, spirits from the home bar, and fresh ingredients from the garden. Chef Cary will lead guests in preparing a rustic Gunshow inspired dish using seasonal ingredients sourced from Georgia farms.

Each $50 ticket ($40 for Georgia Organics members) includes a cocktail kit (alcohol not included) containing all the ingredients needed for your virtual learning and sipping, and recipes will be provided prior to the event.

This unique virtual experience will offer the opportunity to learn from Mercedes and Cary as they share recipes, stories from the industry, and pro tips for the home chef and bartender in you!

Proceeds will go to Food Fight GA, a pandemic-response program of Georgia Organics, which is designed to provide weekly boxes of produce from local farms to restaurant professionals affected by COVID-19. This effort has been incredibly successful in its impact, distributing 6,500 produce boxes to these restaurant workers, while spending more than $250,000 with local farmers, with $102,00 of those dollars being spent with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of color) farmers.
