Zunzi’s, a favorite spot for South African-inspired fare in Atlanta and Savannah, is showing its love for its guests, team and community during Zunzifest! on Friday, Feb. 26. The restaurant team is saying “thank you” by offering a free regular Conquistador or Rising Sun sandwich (vegan upon request) to guests who reserve a time slot for ordering on its website.

On the morning of Feb. 26, guests can secure a spot for Zunzifest! by placing an order for a time slot on the Zunzifest! tab on Zunzi’s website (tab will be activated at 8 a.m. on Feb. 26). Members of Zunzi’s text community will receive a code on the morning of Feb. 26 that they can click on to reserve a spot on the Zunzifest! tab. To ensure social distancing, Zunzi’s is allocating 20 slots every 15 minutes from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Guests will present their time slot receipt when ordering their free regular sandwich (Conquistador or Rising Sun) in person at the restaurant for takeout (no delivery or catering). Zunzi’s will only be serving the Conquistador and Rising Sun during Zunzifest!; the full menu will not be available.

In addition to the free sandwich during Zunzifest!, Zunzi’s is donating 26% of sales at both locations to Giving Kitchen to help further the nonprofit’s mission of providing crisis mitigation for food service workers through financial support and a network of community resources. The restaurants will close early at 5 p.m. on Feb. 26, to say “thank you” to its team members with a team party.

Zunzifest! falls on the 26th day of each month—in honor of Z, the 26th letter of the alphabet.
