Art that Makes You Smile from Ali Leja

By weaving her personal story into contemporary, upbeat paintings, Atlanta artist Ali Leja’s goal is to spread positivity and happiness through her art. At her Johns Creek studio, the former school counselor works in a variety of mediums—charcoal, oil, pastels, acrylic and ink—using bold lines and bright colors to create delightful works depicting flowers, beach ladies, cocktails and even stylish shoes that will soon hang in homes and galleries. The self-taught, instinctual painter’s talents blossomed quickly, and as her fan base grew, so did the depth of her art. According to Leja, “My art is more than just cute or fun. It's about a person connecting with their inner self, being one with mind and body, and then putting it on the canvas.” Her work can be found locally at Marguerites on Dresden and Poppy’s of Atlanta and in shops and galleries throughout the Southeast. Learn more about Leja and view her art on her website as well as Facebook and Instagram.
