Hooters of America Provides 33,000 Meals to Atlanta Community Food Bank to Help End Hunger Insecurity
HOA Brands, the Atlanta-based parent company of Hooters and Hoots Wings, recently donated 40,016 pounds of food and dry goods to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, providing 33,000 meals to those in need across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
Ben Burgess, Corporate Relations Manager of Atlanta Community Food Bank, accepted the donation at the organization’s East Point headquarters from HOA Brands Vice President of Supply Chain Joel Pounds, HOA Brands Chief People Officer Cheryl Whiting-Kish, HOA Brands Senior Local Marketing Manager Summer Kapusta, and Hooters Girls Scarlett Knight, Cassidy Marginean, Jamee Lee and Cassidy Keene. The dry and canned goods items included proteins, starches, fruits and vegetables.
This donation reflects Hooters’ 40-year commitment to being a neighborhood restaurant that is deeply involved in the communities it serves and supporting causes most important to its guests. The 33,000 meals provided contribute to the overall effort by the Atlanta Community Food Bank, which distributes an average of 11 million pounds of food, or approximately 9 million+ meals each month, through its network of partner agencies across 29 counties in Georgia.
