Murphy's Enhances Dining Options and Reinforces Safety Measures
Atlanta restaurants have paved the way for a new normal when it comes to dining in the midst of COVID-19. Murphy’s, the long-standing Virginia-Highland restaurant, is offering new dining options and has enhanced safety protocols to ensure customers continue to feel safe while dining out or enjoying takeout at home.
Among Murphy’s current dining options:
Dine-in for weekend brunch and dinner nightly with tables spaced six feet apart
Counter service for lunch offered Monday-Friday so guests spend less time in the restaurant with fewer people handling food
Expanded patio providing additional outdoor seating to enforce proper social distancing
Extensive to-go menus (Everyday Takeout, Weekend Brunch and Dinners for 4) featuring Murphy’s classics and new dishes from executive chef Andy Tran
Convenient online ordering with valet delivery to guests’ cars
Curbside pick-up of wine from Murphy’s Wine Shop
As a pillar of the Atlanta community since 1980, Murphy’s is dedicated to ensuring guests and staff are safe while dining in the restaurant. Owner Tom Murphy and his team are following all state, local and CDC guidelines including taking employee temperatures at the start of each shift and requiring face masks for employees and guests.
Murphy also has taken cleaning protocols a step further by installing UV lights in the restrooms to sterilize the areas multiple times a day and installing the state-of-the-art Synexis air purification system, a biodefense technology that mitigates infectious microorganisms in the air.
“Over the last 40 years, we have seen a multitude of different events transpire throughout the world,” says Murphy. “While the events of 2020 are unlike any we’ve seen before, our guests can be assured that we are doing all that we can to create a safe and welcoming dining experience.”
