SabaRaba's Satisfies Spring Cravings in Sandy Springs
With the dogwoods in bloom and temperatures warming, Atlantans are shedding the layers and getting outside to enjoy one of the Southeast's best seasons. Sandy Springs is the perfect in-town north community to enjoy the season’s beauty with a calendar of activities, parks and social events. SabaRaba's, which operates out of a yellow shipping container in Parkside Shops on Roswell Road, is a convenient and delicious destination in the community. Here are a few ways to enjoy the Israeli “falafeliya” this spring:
CitySprings is less than a mile from SabaRaba's. Concert-goers can pick up dinner and stroll over to the show or dine pre-show “container-side.”
Getting sun on the shoulders and dining al fresco are cornerstones of a Mediterranean lifestyle, and SabaRaba's encourages guests to get out and soak up vitamin D. A handful of benches and tables in front of the eatery offer a charming urban garden feel with hanging lights and numerous plants.
Guests can easily take orders for a picnic on the Chattahoochee River, undoubtedly one of Sandy Springs’ biggest natural features. SabaRaba's foods are perfectly portable, and online ordering and delivery from Grubhub, DoorDash and Uber Eats are simple and fast.
For those in work mode and wanting an energizing lunch break, the menu is ideal for a midday meal. After hours, SabaRaba’s is a great casual meet-up spot to share a dinner with friends or to bring out-of-town visitors wanting to experience something different.
SabaRaba’s is also ideal after a workout at nearby studios like Row House, Reformed Atlanta and Orangetheory Fitness. The menu features a variety of healthy offerings.
"SabaRaba means ‘great grandpa’ in Hebrew, and my family always showed me how to love life and enjoy great cuisine,” says owner Udi Hershkovitz. "I love sharing fresh, healthy Israeli street food that just happens to also be fast food.”
Roasted vegetables, quality proteins, herbs and fresh olive oil are the base of many of the plates. Menu highlights include freshly made falafel, crisp chicken schnitzel, chicken shawarma (slow-roasted chicken on a vertical spit) and classic hummus that is made daily and served with authentic pita. SabaRaba's also offers plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.
SabaRaba’s is located at 5920 Roswell Road, Kiosk 1 in Sandy Springs, 404-904-3881. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. For more information, visit www.eatsabarabas.com or follow SabaRaba’s on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for additional updates.
