Chichería Mexican Kitchen invites guests to kick off Valentine’s Day celebrations early with A Visit to Mexico, a four-course cocktail dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Chef Juan Hormiga, whose culinary talents have earned him Michelin recognition, will guide guests through a gastronomic journey inspired by Mexico City’s vibrant culinary scene.
Among the featured dishes are:
Lobster croqueta and yellow tuna – creamy lobster croqueta garnish with huitlacoche crema and sliced tuna
Baked oysters – gratin oysters with queso fresco, Parmesan cheese and horseradish butter served with side of Mexican cornbread
Ribeye and smoked corn butter – 12-ounce ribeye, roasted corn butter, arugula, queso fresco and open flame-roasted red beets garnished with candied pumpkin seeds
Mexican chocolate tres leches – gluten-free chocolate cake and chocolate tres leches garnished with dark chocolate spicy ganache
Each course will be paired with a unique cocktail to complement the flavors of the evening. Select pairings will feature Condesa gin, a women-owned, Mexico City-distilled spirit, highlighting its craftsmanship and connection to the event’s inspiration.
With only 32 seats available, this intimate pre-Valentine’s event is perfect for food and cocktail enthusiasts looking for a special night out. Tickets are $85 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) and can be purchased online.
