Les Dames d ’Escoffier International’s (LDEI) Atlanta Chapter uncorks its second annual “Wine Down” wine tasting on Thursday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m. at 1705 west, the newly unveiled event space at Meals on Wheels Atlanta located at 1705 Commerce Dr. NW 30318.

Limited to 125 guests, attendees will meet, greet, and learn from Benziger wine makers Chris Benziger (Benziger Family of Wines and Tribute Winery) and Jamie Benziger (Imagery Estate Winery). Jamie Benziger has been named one of Wine Spectator’s 40 under 40 most influential winemakers.

Hosted by Les Dames d ‘Escoffier International Atlanta Chapter and managed by Sean Okeefe Events, the evening of Benziger wines and paired bites including a global cheese selection curated by Chef Robert Gerstenecker of 1705 West is $125 per person. The wines featured at the exclusive tasting event are bottles from the Tribute and Imagery Benziger Wineries, many of which NEVER leave the winery.

Proceeds support LDEI-Atlanta’s efforts to empower and educate women in Georgia’s culinary, food, beverage farming and hospitality industries and encourage future leaders through scholarship and grant programs. The grants help non-profit organizations working in areas of community health, well-being and anti-hunger work serving the culinary community and embracing and promoting diversity, culinary education, nutrition, sustainability, and agriculture programs.

“Through these events, the Les Dames Atlanta chapter has been able to offer scholarships and grants to mentor women in the food and beverage industry and to provide much-needed funds to nonprofits who feed us every day. In fact, over the past 12 years, we have raised more than $700,000 and awarded scholarships to more than 162 women and dozens of nonprofit organizations,” said LDEI Atlanta Chapter President and Celebrated Chef Jennifer Hill Booker.
