5Church Atlanta Marks Fifth Anniversary on June 24 with Memorable Celebration
5Church Atlanta, the modern American restaurant and hotspot in Midtown, is celebrating in a big way as it marks five years of remarkable food and genuine hospitality. 5Church is stronger than ever after emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the team is marking the occasion with an unforgettable party and a special prix fixe menu on Thursday, June 24.
“We are going to throw the most amazing party,” says Ayman Kamel, operating principal of 5Church Atlanta. “This anniversary comes at the perfect time. Businesses are re-opening, we see a lot of positive signs with the economy and people are feeling safer to be out. We are making this a memorable celebration for our guests.”
5Church is reveling in style with a high-energy party on June 24. From 6-10 p.m., guests can indulge in a special $75 prix fixe menu spotlighting chef Mark Alba’s inspiring, technique-driven cuisine and enjoy live music in the dining room downstairs. Then, guests will move to Virtue on the rooftop for drinks while taking in amazing views of the Midtown skyline. From 6 p.m.-12 a.m., complimentary Holy Water and Viper cocktails, wines and beer will flow while burlesque dancers and other live entertainment will keep the party moving. Later, a DJ will spin a soundtrack perfect for enjoying company, cool breezes and stunning views.
Chef Alba will offer additional anniversary menu features available June 25-26 for guests to savor. “Chef Alba is using his best skills to make an impression on our guests coming to share the celebration with us,” adds Kamel.
5Church has a lot to celebrate this year with recent improvements and additions. The rooftop destination, Virtue, has been improved with classy updates to match the upbeat atmosphere. New, intriguing artwork reflects the Midtown community and the Atlanta skyline and is already proving to be popular as backgrounds for Instagrammable moments. Virtue offers a separate area from the 5Church dining room with live musicians, a DJ and its own menu.
Chef Alba’s beautiful spring and summer menu highlights the season’s best bounty. “Mark always finds the freshest ingredients from local farms that are in season. The new spring and summer menu is amazing,” says Kamel.
Guests can indulge in the seasonal feast with items such as miso Scottish salmon with creamed coconut rice, edamame and mango gastrique; smoked Berkshire pork chop with red bliss potato salad, broccolini, peach BBQ glaze; and an array of prime steaks from the "60 Second" New York strip to the bone-in cowboy rib-eye.
5Church is known for reaching out to its Midtown neighbors and supporting efforts to nurture an even better community. Kamel is active in the Midtown Alliance, and 5Church Atlanta gives special treatment to neighbors who in turn, greatly support the restaurant. “5Church has been a solid part of the Midtown community. We love what’s happening in Midtown and love being a part of it,” says Kamel.
On the horizon, Kamel hopes to open more restaurants and to keep serving 5Church guests and the Midtown community. “We have so many exciting things planned. We love the smile on peoples’ faces as they say ‘Wow! I had the most amazing experience!’ It makes all the challenges worth it. We will keep evolving and working hard and are willing to take on the challenge.”
Kamel adds, “5Church Atlanta is five years old now, stronger than ever, more beautiful than ever, with new artwork and a new, fresh look at Virtue. We invite people to come and check us out and experience 5Church for themselves.”
