Buena Vida Tapas Bar Debuts New Spring Menu

Buena Vida Tapas Bar is launching a new menu showcasing the flavors of Spain in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. The restaurant features beachy décor reminiscent of the Mediterranean shores of Ibiza and a vibrant outdoor space. Al fresco dining on Buena Vida’s expansive patio (recently named “Best Patio” by JEZEBEL)—covered with white awnings to provide shade—further enhances the experience.

Buena Vida’s menu remains faithful to authentic Spanish regional cuisine, using ingredients like Bomba rice, jamón serrano, chorizo and Manchego cheese imported directly from Spain. New additions to the tapas selection include mahi-mahi ceviche, jamón croquetas and quinoa-stuffed peppers. A new confit duck paella joins the paella lineup and is served with Bomba rice, roasted vegetables and sofrito.

These new menu items can be paired with a cocktail from Buena Vida’s robust bar program, which brings Pan-Latin inspiration to traditional drinks. Guests can opt for new tropical creations like the rum-based guava fresca served in a tiki mug; the Beach Bonfire made with scotch or mezcal combined with pineapple, sage, honey, ginger and angostura bitters; or the South of Spain gin and tonic. Seasonal passionfruit and strawberry margaritas round out the cocktail menu, and guests can order a margarita flight to sample four flavor varieties.

La Vuelta a España, a new four-course prix fixe tasting experience, provides a culinary tour of Spain with generous portions designed for sharing and sampling. The menu offers a chef-curated selection of Spanish artisan meats and cheeses, three tapas, a choice of paella and a dessert. The tasting menu can be combined with an optional wine pairing highlighting regional varieties like garnacha, albariño and tempranillo. Because the tasting experience is designed with sharing in mind, the entire table must participate to order.

With warmer weather around the corner, guests can enjoy DJ tunes of the patio starting at 5 p.m. on Saturdays, weather permitting. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Atlanta Beltline, Buena Vida is the ideal way to experience the good life with inventive cuisine and great company.
