Chef Terry Koval Takes Home “Best Chef: Southeast” at James Beard Awards

The votes have been counted, and The Deer and The Dove chef and owner Terry Koval has been named “Best Chef: Southeast” during last night’s James Beard Awards ceremony in Chicago. Regarded as the “Oscars of the culinary arts,” the James Beard Awards recognize exceptional talent in the culinary and food media industries. Koval was the only award winner from Georgia and was recognized for not only his cooking but also for his dedication to Georgia’s farmers who provide many of the ingredients used on his menu.
