Congrats to Kevin Gillespie, 2022 James Beard Award Finalist

Headshot of Kevin Gillespie.

Celebrated Atlanta restaurateur and chef Kevin Gillespie is among several Atlanta chefs and restaurants named a 2022 James Beard Award finalist this week. The founder of Red Beard Restaurants—the company behind Gunshow and Revival—has made it to the final round for Outstanding Restaurateur. In this category, the James Beard Foundation recognizes the restaurateur “who uses their establishment(s) as a vehicle for building community, demonstrates creativity in entrepreneurship, integrity in restaurant operations, and is making efforts to create a sustainable work culture.”

Kevin is no stranger to the James Beard Award. He was previously named a semifinalist for Rising Star Chef of the Year four times (2009-12) and was a three-time finalist for Best Chef: Southeast (2015-17). His cookbook—“Fire in My Belly”—won a James Beard Award in 2013. Award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Chicago on June 13.

Congratulations, Kevin, on this well-deserved recognition!
