Gunshow Returns to Normal Service Format July 7

Kevin Gillespie and his team at Gunshow did what they thought would never be possible: they navigated a pandemic, successfully operating a restaurant whose very identity is rooted in the close interaction between its staff and customers. Gillespie never envisioned that Gunshow would be forced to drastically alter the format of its service model into a fixed price tasting menu to remain alive. In fact, the restaurant was designed to have zero separation between guests and the kitchen so people could get a real, genuine look and feel for all the action surrounding them.

Today, Gillespie is thrilled to announce that Gunshow will resume its normal service format on Wednesday, July 7 – reintroducing that same approachable, a la carte ordering and animated tableside preparation for which the restaurant is both known and loved.

However, there’s a twist: based on customer feedback, Gunshow will now offer a la carte ordering as well as a new “chef’s choice” option, comprised of eight off-menu dishes that the chefs choose for the guest for a set price. Guests will designate which experience they prefer when they make a reservation. Reservations go live at 8 a.m. exactly one month out. Guests should mark their calendars for 8 a.m. on Monday, June 7, to ensure they snag one of the first reservations available.

Kevin Gillespie wants to extend a sincere thank you to his loyal veterans (and first-timers who took a chance on the “pandemic” format!) who have patiently awaited the return of Gunshow’s standard bright lights and raucous kitchen sounds. His team embraced a grim reality head on, adapting and ultimately is reemerging more resilient than ever.

A distinct sense of community combined with Kevin’s humble hospitality has always made up Gunshow’s core. The restaurant itself is a dinner and a show all in one -- and the show is FINALLY back on.

Gunshow is extending its hours and will now be open on Wednesday, in addition to Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 6-9 p.m. Gunshow will also continue patio service in addition to regular dining room service on an a la carte only, walk-in only basis. Reservations can be made via Resy.
