Must-Try Menu Items at SabaRaba's in Sandy Springs

A table full of food at SabaRaba's.

Longtime restaurateur Udi Hershkovitz is wowing Sandy Springs diners with a traditional Israeli street food experience at his restaurant SabaRaba’s, which operates out of a yellow shipping container located in Parkside Shops in Sandy Springs. The shipping container replicates the feeling of a “falafeliya” where guests can walk up and order fresh falafel, shawarma, pita and salads for lunch and dinner.

SabaRaba translates to “great grandpa” in Hebrew, a tribute to Hershkovitz’s father who he praises for teaching him about life and the meaning of good food. Hershkovitz is passionate about sharing his fresh and healthy food with the community, and he brought his cousin chef Tomer Hauptman from Israel to help create the authentic recipes at SabaRaba’s.

SabaRaba’s Mediterranean menu boasts several mouthwatering must-try items that are mostly vegetarian and gluten-free. These include:

  • Sabich: Roasted eggplant, boiled egg, hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, pickles and tahina in the perfect pita pocket—schug and amba sauce available upon request

  • Laffas: Hummus, Israeli salad, pickles and tahina wrapped in a warm laffa flatbread with a protein of choice

  • Malabi: Vegan custard flavored with sweet syrup and slivered almonds

Together, these menu items create the perfect three-course Israeli meal of fresh, healthy and delicious food. SabaRaba’s offers online and walk-up orders for takeout or for guests to enjoy at its outside seating area. Guests also can place orders for delivery through Grubhub and Uber Eats.
