Rreal Tacos Continues to Grow with Next Location Opening Soon in Sugar Hill

Rreal Tacos, the home of authentic Mexican street food in Atlanta, has signed the lease on its newest location in Sugar Hill and will open in a record 60 days. Owners Damien Otero and Miguel Hernandez are daring to do what few restaurateurs have accomplished: acquire a space and open a new restaurant in just two months. The owners have acquired the former Cantina Loca space at 5010 West Broad St., NE in Sugar Hill.

The entrepreneurs are used to going where others will not. They are the only restaurateurs to open four restaurants in Atlanta in the last 12 months. On top of their groundbreaking plans for expansion, they also are offering employee growth opportunities that are hard to come by in the restaurant industry. Top-level performing employees have an opportunity to own equity in new locations. “We remain focused on creating opportunities for our team members to become our partners as we expand,” says Hernandez.

“Most restaurant groups do not offer the opportunity for growth the way we do,” says Hernandez. “Some spend insane amounts of money to build restaurants, but our strategy is changing the game. We’re completely debt-free, and each expansion has been accomplished with our profits.”

Rreal Tacos is a beloved culinary destination among Atlanta food enthusiasts, and the new Sugar Hill location reflects the growing demand for the eatery’s simple but elegant tacos. Sugar Hill is a continuation of Rreal Tacos’ momentum. The eatery is capitalizing on its success with locations in Midtown, West Midtown, Chamblee, Sandy Springs and Cumming. A recently announced location in Buckhead will open in spring 2024.

The eatery strives to recreate the unique characteristics of tacos from various regions of Mexico such as asada from northeastern Monterrey, birria barbacoa from Guadalajara or taco al pastor, one of Mexico City's signature tacos. Stuffed quesadillas, slow-cooked pork carnitas, desserts like platano macho (sweet plantain with cream and brown sugar) and smoky mezcal cocktails provide guests with a large selection from which to choose. In addition, guests experience a vibrant atmosphere along with exceptional service.
