SabaRaba's Serves Comforting Mediterranean Meals Container-Side
SabaRaba’s brightens dreary winter days so busy families can stay warm and cozy in their homes or cars while enjoying authentic Israeli street food. With SabaRaba’s, eating Mediterranean is easy with convenient online ordering, container-side pickup and delivery.
Housed inside a 200-square-foot shipping container in the Parkside Shops in Sandy Springs. SabaRaba’s menu and space are meant to replicate the feeling of an Israeli “falafeliya,” a simple kiosk where guests can walk up and order fresh falafel, shawarma, pita and salads. Typically, customers take their food to go or to the surrounding outdoor seating area to enjoy.
As an answer to cold, wet Georgia winters that offer “more gray than stay,” SabaRaba’s has innovated Mediterranean street food on demand. Instead of hungry diners huddling under a heater or having to find a place to park and dash to pick up food, they can get their Mediterranean street food fix by simply placing an order online and pulling up to the container where an employee will bring the food to the car, complete with warm and sunny Mediterranean vibes. In addition to container-side pickup, guests also can place orders for delivery through Grubhub and Uber Eats.
“Our food is freshly made, higher quality than drive-thru and a better value than traditional restaurant takeout,” says owner Udi Hershkovitz. “For customers to be able to order healthier meals at a good price in today’s economy is important. The hardest choice will be which door to choose: car door for pickup or home door for delivery.”
The name SabaRaba’s translates to "great grandpa" in Hebrew and pays tribute to Hershkovitz’s father, whom he credits for teaching him about life and the meaning of good food. The restaurant’s menu focuses on fresh ingredients made to order and includes traditional Israeli dishes such as freshly made falafel, crisp and tender chicken schnitzel, slow-roasted chicken shawarma and popular Mediterranean sides such as house-made hummus, baba ghanoush and seasoned cauliflower. With gluten-free and vegetarian options, guests can pick their protein and choose to have it in a pita, laffa or as a deconstructed plate, and the average check is $16.
SabaRaba’s is located in a yellow shipping container at 5920 Roswell Road, Kiosk 1 in Sandy Springs, 404-904-3881. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. For more information, visit www.eatsabarabas.com or follow SabaRaba’s on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for additional updates.
