Tin Lizzy's Taco Americana Now Open in Midtown

Tin Lizzy's Cantina shows that you don’t have to go far to get away from it all. A visit to the revamped Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana in Midtown is a vacation for the senses, featuring made-to-order cocktails, fresh tacos and surfer-cool vibes, all without the travel time. The Midtown location at the corner of Crescent and 12th Street is the first in Southern Proper Hospitality’s launch of a new version of the Tin Lizzy’s Cantina brand.

Inspired by the relaxed, breezy West Coast city of Palm Springs—the desert oasis known for its midcentury modern architecture and California-cool lifestyle—Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana offers guests refreshing cocktails and delicious dishes while surrounded by cool design elements. The newly refreshed space features white oak paneling, bold textiles and vintage-style artwork. The breezy, all-weather patio—with cafe tables, lush plants and a clear canopy—is the perfect spot for a celebration, even if just toasting to the end of the workday.

Breaking all the rules, eclectic tacos are filled with buttermilk fried chicken, Korean barbecue, Philly cheesesteak, grilled mahi-mahi and much more. Ultra-fresh salads, house-made salsas and hearty skillets round out the creative menu. Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana features a brand-new beverage menu of fun, innovative cocktails and made-to-order, just-squeezed margaritas that pair perfectly with menu favorites. Highlights from the margarita and cocktail menu include:

  • Everything’s Bigger In… a margarita with El Jimador Reposado tequila, blood orange, Grand Marnier and citrus mix

  • So Fresh & So Clean, Clean featuring Bare Bone vodka, St. Germain, lemon juice, agave nectar and fresh basil

  • Freaky Tiki mixing dark rum, pineapple rum, falernum, orgeat, orange and pineapple juices and ginger beer

“While this new location may look and feel different from the others, our mission remains the same: we’re committed to giving guests a unique taqueria experience with service rooted in genuine hospitality,” says Southern Proper Hospitality co-founder and partner Chris Hadermann. “Whether stopping by for a tasty lunch, a top-notch cocktail or fun night out on the year-round patio, Tin Lizzy’s Taco Americana is a close-by escape from the ordinary.”
