Acclaimed Restaurant YEPPA&co Sets Tone for Junction Krog District Experience
National developer Portman today announces YEPPA&co as its first restaurant tenant at Junction Krog District, located at the corner of Irwin Street and Auburn Avenue across from Krog Street Market. Sitting directly on the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, Junction Krog District is Portman’s newest Class-A office building with 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. YEPPA&co, the latest concept from Pietro Gianni and Stephen Peterson of popular Italian restaurants Storico Fresco, Forza Storico and soon-to-open Pachengo’s, will include an expansive outdoor area to activate the project’s vibrant street level.
YEPPA&co is a bar-centric, hospitality-driven Italian concept focused on interpersonal connection, food, wine and cocktails, many from Rimini in the Emilia-Romagna region. The restaurant, like its sister restaurant YEPPA&co in Buckhead District Village, will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week with a central bar area and approachable to-go fare. The menu will remain consistent with its first location – featuring a variety of items inspired by Rimini including focaccia pizza, paninis and regional pastas like linguine alle vongole and “calcio” e pepe. The restaurant will feature a large outdoor patio, complete with an additional bar and spritz bar. YEPPA&co will open at Junction Krog District in March 2024.
“We can’t wait to bring the great vibes and energy of YEPPA&co to the BeltLine,” says Gianni. “All those running, biking or strolling by will have easy access to our patio and can enjoy focaccia pizzas and pasta that transport you to Rimini.”
Known for its intentional approach to infill developments and pedestrian trails, Portman developed Junction Krog District with plentiful points of access, as well as a ground-floor design that enhances the experiences of the community and offers an unparalleled BeltLine-fronting retail experience. Once complete in August, Junction Krog District will feature 135,000 square feet of Class-A office space with private terraces, as well as a 7,000-square-foot public porch.
“Junction Krog District is a first-of-its kind project in the area and one we are incredibly proud to bring to the city of Atlanta,” said Portman’s Head of Retail and Activation Dotan Zuckerman. “We’re focused on delivering quality restaurant concepts that encourage outdoor entertainment and activate the lively street-level experience of Atlanta’s BeltLine. YEPPA&co perfectly aligns with our community-centered focus and we look forward to the unique experiences still to come at the property.”
