Fire Maker's Calamity Jane Beer Swings into Boone's Nov. 21

Boone’s, the new neighborhood restaurant at Bobby Jones Golf Course, is teaming up with Fire Maker Brewing Company to offer a new beer for golfers and guests. Calamity Jane Blonde Ale, named after the putter belonging to popular golf legend and Atlanta native Bobby Jones, will make its debut at Boone’s on Nov. 21.

Light-bodied and easy to drink, Calamity Jane is a seasonal brew with a slight sweetness and a low 4.5% ABV. With balance and refreshment in every sip, the beer is perfect for a sunny day on the golf course or while unwinding after a round.

“We are thrilled to partner with our friends at Fire Maker Brewing Company,” says Austin Rocconi, food and beverage director at Boone’s. “This is a unique opportunity to have a brewery create beers for our guests that they may not be able to find anywhere else in Atlanta.”

“I’ve been drinking beer and playing golf for a long time,” says Elliott Hall, CEO and co-owner of Fire Maker Brewing Company. “Calamity Jane is a perfect addition to any day on the links at Bobby Jones.”

Calamity Jane will be served first at Boone’s and at The Hall Hut, a new to the Bobby Jones Golf Course, built and donated by Meja Construction and the Hall family, and sponsored by Fire Maker. The Hall Hut is opening soon at Bobby Jones Golf Course, where golfers can purchase refreshments before enjoying the Dan Yates Putting Course or a round of golf. In addition to Calamity Jane, guests can look forward to featured seasonal beers from Fire Maker throughout the year.

Boone’s is a true community restaurant, open to the public as well as to golfers at Bobby Jones Golf Course. Boone’s takes reservations for lunch and dinner, served Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Guests can view the menu and make reservations online.

To make guests feel as safe as possible, Boone's has strict COVID-19 precautions in place including servers wearing masks, advanced sanitizing procedures, operating at a limited capacity and seating on the comfortable, covered patio with plenty of space for physical distancing.
