Recipe: Krystal’s Signature Secret Stuffing

This holiday season, Krystal is sharing its Signature Secret Stuffing recipe that delights the entire dinner table. This Secret Stuffing recipe has been a family favorite for generations and ensures everyone comes home for the holidays. INGREDIENTS

  • Sackful of 24 Krystals with no cheese or pickles (You’ll need 20 for this recipe)

  • 1 quart chicken stock

  • 1 cup melted margarine or unsalted butter

  • 5 large eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 ½ tablespoons fresh sage, minced

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 2 cups celery, diced small

  • 2 cups white or yellow onion, diced small

DIRECTIONS

  1. Enjoy four Krystals right away, then place the remaining 20 Krystals (without cheese or pickles) in the refrigerator and cool overnight.

  2. When you’re ready to cook, preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  3. Combine all ingredients except the Krystals into a large mixing bowl using a wire whisk.

  4. Cut Krystals into bite-sized pieces and gently fold into the ingredient mixture with a rubber spatula until moistened (be careful not to over mix).

  5. Spray a 9x13”, 3 qt baking dish with non-stick spray.

  6. Pour stuffing mixture into baking dish.

  7. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes.

  8. Allow the stuffing to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
