March is National Nutrition Month, which emphasizes the importance of making healthy food choices every day. Cile Wilson, owner of two CraveWell Cafe locations in Atlanta, is passionate about healthy living and knows that good health can start with a single sip.

“It’s not always easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you’re commuting or managing a busy schedule of activities with your family,” says Cile. “Drinking a freshly squeezed juice or smoothie each day is a great way to integrate fruits and vegetables into your diet when you’re on the go.”

Rather than consuming empty calories from soda or a sugary coffee, juices and smoothies bring vitamins and antioxidants to the mix. Antioxidants help defend the body from external threats like bacteria and environmental pollution, and many vitamins also exhibit antioxidant properties. Fruits like oranges and strawberries are high in the immune system-boosting vitamin C, and vegetables such as kale, spinach and carrots are good sources of carotenoids like vitamin A, known for its role in producing white blood cells and preserving eye health.

With two locations in Upper Westside Atlanta and Sandy Springs, CraveWell Café presses and blends fresh fruits and vegetables into juices and smoothies that pack a nutritious punch. The juice menu includes the aptly named Antioxidant featuring blueberries, beets, celery, cucumber and lemon while the Green Extreme lives up to its name with a blend of spinach, cucumber, celery and lime with the zing of ginger.

For something more substantial, a smoothie made with a base of banana and non-dairy milk adds a punch of protein. Guests can choose a sweet treat like the Cookies and Cream with oat milk, peanut butter, Nutella and chocolate chips, the fruit-filled Very Berry with almond milk, strawberries and blueberries or customize their own creations. Cile also makes her own overnight oats at home adding chia seeds and oats for plant-based protein and fiber to make for a filling breakfast.
