Spring will soon be in bloom at Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails with a series of special events that highlight the restaurant’s historic space and stunning outdoor surroundings.

The Spring & Vine Wine Dinner on Sunday, March 10 celebrates the transitioning seasons with four courses of cuisine using ingredients sourced from Milton’s Acre, the restaurant’s onsite garden. The menu, crafted by executive chef Dean Wenzel, is served alongside wine pairings from Gundlach Bundschu, a California winery focused on regenerative organic practices.

The first course will be crispy rice with salmon poke paired with the 2021 Gundlach Bundschu chardonnay. The spicy citrus smoked salmon is served in rice paper with a jalapeño tamari and garnished with chives and everything seasoning.

The second course is a marriage of the flavors of winter and spring featuring tempura prawns served with hand-rolled pumpkin gnocchi, a spicy tomato fondue and lemon arugula, paired with the 2021 Gundlach Bundschu pinot noir.

Next comes the butcher’s cut bacon-wrapped wagyu, served over garlic cream of spinach and confit garlic with a cuvée port demi sauce, paired with the 2021 Gundlach Bundschu Mountain Cuvée red blend.

The final course culminates with a crème brûlée cheesecake topped with fresh berries and homemade whipped cream, paired with the 2022 Gundlach Bundschu Dry Gewurztraminer.

The Spring & Vine Wine Dinner will take place at Milton’s Bar from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person plus tax and can be purchased online.

The spring festivities continue into April with the Farmyard Chowdown on Sunday, April 21. This casual affair is a drop-in event from 4-7 p.m. and is open to guests of all ages. The menu features a classic Lowcountry boil of crawfish, crab legs and shrimp plus a feast of fresh oysters, mussels, fried chicken and barbecue. Guests will enjoy live music, lawn games and other fun activities. Tickets are $65 for adults and $32 for children 10 and under.

Be sure to save the date for more opportunities to enjoy the rustic atmosphere and beautiful surroundings of Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails with the Garden Dinner series on April 28, May 5 and May 19. After a summer break, the dinner series will resume every Sunday in October.
