Sankranti Shares Five Must-Order Indian Dishes
Sankranti, the new Dunwoody restaurant from Srinivasa “Nimms” Nimmagadda, offers a fast casual take on authentic Indian cuisine. Sankranti serves a delicious variety of health-conscious dishes that represent both the northern and southern regions of India. But with such a diverse menu, guests may have a difficulty deciding on the perfect dish to order. To make ordering easier, Nimmagadda recommends the following five must-try menu items to give guests a perfect sampling of dishes from starters and curry bowls to kathi rolls and desserts.
Mango Chicken
A vibrant and crunchy starter, this dish is the perfect precursor to an authentic experience.
Chicken Tikka Masala
Chunks of authentically marinated chicken are topped with a creamy, spiced curry sauce, making it one of the most popular curry bowls at Sankranti. This dish is best enjoyed with a scoop of fresh basmati rice or a few pieces of paratha bread.
Paneer Kathi Rolls
Tandoor-grilled and savory fillings such as creamy paneer cheese are wrapped in a freshly steamed tortilla and topped with a choice of tasty veggies and sauces.
Chicken Pulao
Made with expertly cooked chicken on a bed of pulao rice that is prepared daily with ghee and Indian spices, chicken pulao is similar to a burrito bowl and is a lunchtime staple.
Mango Lassi
Served as a dessert, lassis are a sweet, ancient treat from Northern India that are traditionally made with mango, yogurt, milk and a little sugar.
