Summerhill Announces New Specials and Events to Mark the Beginning of Fall

Georgia Avenue in Summerhill is the place for shopping, dining and for fans to hang out before or after Georgia State University football games this fall. Summerhill has something for everyone. Food specials and fun events for September include:

  • C10s in the City is coming back to Summerhill during Labor Day weekend. The classic car show, which features Chevy trucks, will benefit the Pink Fund. The nonprofit provides financial aid to breast cancer patients. The free event, featuring more than 300 classic trucks for car enthusiasts, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Georgia Vintage Goods is bringing back Summerhill Sundays, a popular vintage and handmade pop-up market featuring some of the best local creators and curators from Atlanta and beyond. The market pops up in Summerhill’s A Lot and is open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Halfway Crooks invites guests to break out their lederhosen when it goes all out for Oktoberfest Sept. 8-Oct. 2. The brewery celebrates German beer and culture with German-style lager liters, Bavarian food specials and live music from Auf Gehts performing in auxiliary outdoor spaces.

  • Junior’s Pizza boasts New York-style pizza made with quality ingredients at an affordable price. The September special is the Fig Lebowski, featuring goat cheese, arugula, prosciutto and fig preserves. Diners can walk up, call in or place orders online.

  • Little Tart, a sun-soaked standalone bakery in Summerhill, is offering a new, flash-brewed iced coffee. The latest drink uses Atlanta-based Portrait Coffee’s Barry and features notes of crisp cherry, brown sugar and green apple. This thirst-quencher is delicious with or without cream and sugar.

  • Maepole, a healthy comfort food spot, is rolling out its fall-inspired menu at the end of the month. Before the new menu is available, guests can enjoy Maepole’s seasonal chef’s selections now. And adults are not the only ones who can enjoy “real food, real fast.” On Mondays, kids’ plates are just $5. View the full menu online.
