Zunzi's + Zunzibar Raise Funds for Giving Kitchen Through March 31, Host ZUNZIFEST! on April 9
Zunzi’s + Zunzibar, the Savannah-based sister brands with locations in Savannah, Tybee Island and Atlanta, have kicked off their quarterly fundraising for ZUNZIFEST! The fundraising period runs from Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 31, and during this time, a percentage of all sales from all three stores will benefit Giving Kitchen.
“We are thrilled to support Giving Kitchen and its work in ensuring food service workers have a network of support,” says Chris Smith, owner of Zunzi’s + Zunzibar. “Giving Kitchen’s work aligns perfectly with our vision statement: the restaurant business SUCKS! and we’re here to CHANGE it. Food service workers are often the most vulnerable when unanticipated crisis hit, and Giving Kitchen does just that by helping them get through these tough times.”
Zunzi’s + Zunzibar will present Giving Kitchen’s check during ZUNZIFEST! on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Members of Zunzi’s + Zunzibar’s 26 Club are invited to stop by any location to receive a free regular Conquistador or a vegan option upon request from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Zunzibar will be offering all of its usual signature cocktails and drink specials during this time.
Those interested in joining 26 Club to receive a link for more details about the event can text “26Club” to 912-207-7551. On the morning of ZUNZIFEST!, guests will receive a code to show the team upon arrival. All locations will close early at 3 p.m. on April 9 for a special appreciation party for their teams.
During past ZUNZIFEST! celebrations, Zunzi’s + Zunzibar presented checks for $14,283 to CURE Childhood Cancer and $11,289 to Feeding America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and Atlanta Community Food Bank.
