Johnny's Hideaway Creates COVID-19 Survival Playlist

‘Tis the season of giving, and Johnny’s Hideaway in Buckhead is giving patrons a good reason to pour themselves a drink and party from their living rooms. The iconic Atlanta nightclub has curated a COVID-19 Survival Playlist on Spotify to inspire Atlantans to safely celebrate the holidays with small, at-home gatherings.

“Seeing our guests enjoy the dance floor is why we love what we do,” says Johnny’s Hideaway owner Chris D’Auria. “So, for the holiday season, we want to deliver some of that enjoyment to our loyal guests who don’t feel comfortable venturing out of the house right now.”

Johnny’s music is a large part of why the legendary nightclub has been popular with both the over-50 crowd and late-night bar hoppers in their 20s and 30s for so many years. DJ Spencer Pearson and DJ Greg Picciano handpick irresistible tunes from every decade that keep the dance floor packed until the wee hours. Fresh from Johnny’s turntable, the COVID-19 Survival playlist (available on Spotify) includes the following songs:

D’Auria and his team have put extensive protective measures in place to ensure the safety of Johnny’s employees and patrons with the help of CleanWell Services, the Southeast’s certified applicator of MonoFoil D®, which is a nanotechnology-based cleaner that molecularly bonds to surfaces and kills microbes for more than 30 days. MonoFoil D® is an EPA-approved, safe and non-toxic product that is effective against more than 100 different strains of bacteria, fungi and viruses, including the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen. Johnny’s was the first nightclub in Atlanta to utilize this sanitizing and disinfecting cleaner. In addition to the MonoFoil D® treatment, which is done monthly, all Johnny’s staff members must undergo daily temperature checks upon arrival and before departing the nightclub. They also are required to wear masks at all times and must measure nightclub guests using tally counters to adhere to the governor’s allowed percentage of total occupancy.
