National Multiple Sclerosis Society Announces Virtual Evening for MS Fine Wine & Dine for the Cure
The seventh annual MS Fine Wine & Dine for the Cure may be virtual in 2021, but the annual wine and food extravaganza will still pack in plenty of indulgent opportunities as guests raise a glass to end multiple sclerosis. The event on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. aims to raise awareness about MS with the mission of gathering funds for the Georgia Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.
A virtual extravaganza, featuring vintage wines and curated culinary experiences, will be showcased, waiting for those with giving hearts and discerning tastes to bid. This year’s virtual setting for MS Fine Wine & Dine is poised to be just as exciting as years past with a luxury online auction and sponsorship opportunities.
Three co-chairs will carry the annual wine and food event online. John Dunn of Blue Ridge Spirits & Wine Marketing, Kari Carlos of National Distributing Company and Angela Carlos will help make this important event as memorable as possible.
“We look forward to the MS Fine Wine and Dine event each year,” says Kari Carlos. “Even though we won’t gather in person, our mission is still the same. We have many opportunities for food and wine lovers to help us with our $350,000 fundraising goal. The proceeds will benefit the society’s global MS research projects, and all funds raised will help improve the lives of people living with MS. We will sponsor local programs and services as well as help accelerate worldwide research projects that will ultimately help put an end to this debilitating disease.”
Angela and Kari Carlos have been personally touched by the generosity of spirit displayed during previous events. Their family has a strong personal connection to the cause: their father John Carlos, president and chief operating officer of National Distributing Company, was diagnosed with MS at the age of 28. As vice president of National Distributing Company, Kari works closely with her father and has co-chaired the event since 2016, with Angela on board this year.
Special programming during the evening will include a mission moment, MS research update, live auction, chef demonstrations and much more.
