Southern Proper Hospitality Group’s Restaurants Welcome Fall Season with New Menu Items

With cooler weather in the air, several Southern Proper Hospitality Group restaurants have added imaginative cocktails and new and refreshed menu items to welcome the crisp, fall season. From creative new drinks perfect for sipping on a patio to new starters, entrees and desserts, these Atlanta restaurants invite guests to try new flavors and discover more favorites.


Chido & Padre's

Reminiscent of the vibrant eateries of Puebla, Sinaloa and Oaxaca in Mexico, Chido & Padre’s offers new cocktails including:

  • Rosalita margarita - El Jimador Reposado, Amaro, fresh citrus juices and agave

  • Al Pastor margarita – pineapple-infused Reposado, Chido's "taco syrup," citrus juices and agave

  • Funky Monkey - 400 Conejos mezcal, banana liqueur, lime and agave

New and refreshed starters, entrees and desserts at Chido & Padre's include:

  • Chorizo sope - salsa avocado, lime crema and queso cotija

  • Chicken flautas - braised chicken tinga, crispy tortilla, romaine and avocado salsa

  • Stuffed chile relleno - squash and peppers, chile tomato sauce, lime crema and queso fresco

  • Tres leches - garnished with a passion fruit purée   


Gypsy Kitchen

Gypsy Kitchen draws inspiration from the culinary riches of Spain, infused with Moroccan traditions and Indian influences. Guests can settle outdoors with a new Gypsy Kitchen cocktail such as:

  • Cobble Cobble - Roku gin, pomegranate, elderflower, mint and lemon 

  • Sancho Panza – Maker’s Mark bourbon, spiced pear, chicory pecan bitters and orange peel

New menu items and updates at Gypsy Kitchen include:

  • Roasted red beets - crispy chickpeas, whipped goat cheese, pistachio dukkah and sherry vinegar

  • Seared scallops - salsa de vieira and shaved baby carrot salad

  • Harissa chicken - roasted half chicken, tahini labneh, Spanish peppers and broccolini

  • Grilled lamb sirloin - red lentils, pearl couscous, caponata, shallot, garlic and fried leeks  

  • Spanish olive oil cake - citrus crème anglaise and Meyer lemon compote


Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails

Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails is nestled in a restored 155-year-old farmhouse in the historic district of Crabapple and serves contemporary Southern cuisine. New cocktails shine at Milton’s including:

  • The Ramblin' Man - bourbon, blackberries, orange juice, lemon, simple syrup and orange bitters

  • Pear Me Another - Grey Goose La Poire, St Germain, lemon and simple syrup

Guests can indulge in new and refreshed menu items such as:  

  • Chicken liver mousse - strawberry jam, pink peppercorn mustard and baguette

  • Warm spinach and beet salad - goat cheese, confit fennel, pistachio and citrus honey vinaigrette

  • Benne seed-crusted tuna – cola-braised turnip greens, herb couscous and miso butter

  • Prime Bolognese - prime meat, San Marzano tomato, paradelle pasta and house ricotta


Ocean & Acre

The land meets the sea at Ocean & Acre, located in the Halcyon development in Forsyth County. New cocktails at Ocean & Acre include:

  • Maple Smoked Old Fashioned - Rittenhouse rye, maple-smoked syrup and walnut bitters

New and reinvented dishes include:  

  • Burrata - pears, Black Mission figs, pomegranate seeds, candied walnuts and lemon vinaigrette

  • Lemon-herbed chicken - airline chicken breast, white rice, asparagus and almonds

  • Bouillabaisse pasta - lobster, shrimp and mussels with fettuccini noodles in a saffron tomato broth


The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill

Located in Buckhead, The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill brings the flavors of the coast to the city. New menu items at The Big Ketch include:

  • Seafood basket - fried cod and shrimp, Old Bay french fries, coleslaw and hush puppies (lunch)

  • Fried chicken club sandwich - chipotle aioli, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and french fries (lunch)

  • Tuna poke bowl – carrots, avocado, cucumbers, jasmine rice and sriracha sesame aioli (lunch and dinner)


The Southern Gentleman

The Southern Gentleman gastropub is Southern-inspired and located in Buckhead Village. New cocktails include:

  • Pear Me to the Moon - bourbon, spiced pear liquor and honey

  • Apple of Your Eye - WhistlePig PiggyBack, apple liquor, smoked cinnamon bitters and honey

New menu items at The Southern Gentleman include:

  • Smoked pork belly - peach bourbon BBQ Sauce, pickled red cabbage and crispy pork rinds

  • Butternut squash - cauliflower purée, lentils, quinoa, crispy spinach and maple pecan reduction

  • Half roasted chicken - seasonal root vegetables and herb chimichurri

  • Sweet potato cheesecake - sweet potatoes, lemon zest and toasted meringue

  • Smoked Gouda omelet - pork sausage and bacon (brunch)
