Atlanta Bars and Restaurants Host Spectacularly Spooky Halloween Events
Atlanta’s bars and restaurants are ready to put the hocus pocus in Halloween celebrations. Drive-thru trick-or-treating, costume contests, live music and family dinners await those who want to have a ball on this hair-raising holiday. Here are our recommendations for spine-chilling adventures at our favorite haunts:
Johnny's Hideaway is hosting its annual Halloween costume party on Thursday, Oct. 29, featuring a costume contest with $500 in prizes. Partygoers who are dressed to kill can see if their costumes pass the test when judging begins at midnight.
Krystal has planned a fun, festive and safe Halloween experience for families at its South Cobb location on Saturday, Oct. 31. Costumed employees at Krystal, located at 5140 South Cobb Drive in Smyrna, Georgia, will welcome guests at the haunted drive-thru from 4-8 p.m. In partnership with the Hershey Company, Krystal employees will hand out candy provided by Hershey to all children who yell “trick or treat” safely from their car windows. The restaurant will be decorated for the occasion for photo ops, and the drive-thru will be open all day for guests. All Krystal locations will be open on Halloween, and other participating locations also will be handing out candy.
Loyal Q and Brew staff will be dressed in costumes and ready to take some dinner stress off of your hands this Halloween. Put down the pots and pans and place an order for a Family Pack (choice of BBQ, ribs or chicken tenders) that comes with the choice of two quarts of sides and serves three to four people ($35-$45). Opt for free delivery or curbside pick-up. Place your order online or call 470-359-9947.
Jam out to live music in your creepiest costume at Rock 'N' Taco on Oct.31. Justin Borgman starts playing at 9:30 p.m., and the best costumes of the night can compete for $500 worth of cash and prizes at 10:30 p.m.
