Race to Atlanta Restaurants for Kentucky Derby Viewing Parties and Specials

Prepare to celebrate the 147th running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 1. Atlanta restaurants are joining in on the Run for the Roses with viewing parties and specialty cocktails.

5Church Atlanta

Race to Virtue Cocktail Club on the rooftop of 5Church Atlanta for a Kentucky Derby party overlooking bustling Peachtree Street. The Midtown restaurant invites guests from 5 p.m.-sunset for mint juleps from liquor partner Bulleit Bourbon, live music and gift bags and gift cards for best hat, best dressed and more. The event will be held rain or shine with no cover charge.

Aria

Imagine you’re cheering on your favorite horse while savoring a classic mint julep from Aria. This Southern tradition has been served at the Kentucky Derby since 1938 and features bourbon, sugar and fresh mint on ice.

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern

Gallop over to any HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern location (Brookhaven, Perimeter, Halcyon or Atlantic Station) for a Kentucky Derby party. Starting at 5 p.m., enjoy classic mint juleps, Old-Fashioned cocktails and pimento and bacon sandwiches. Be sure to dress for the winner’s circle because the best hat wins a $150 gift card, and the best-dressed couple wins a $200 gift card. Fifty percent of Woodford flight sales will be donated to the Georgia Equine Rescue League. Make reservations online.
