Atlanta Bars and Restaurants are Spooky Halloween Destinations

Atlanta’s bars and restaurants are ready to enchant your night with bone-chilling adventures. Costume contests, live music and dinners await those who want to have a ball on this hair-raising holiday.

Just because it’s Halloween doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate in style. Virtue, the rooftop cocktail lounge atop 5Church Atlanta, starts the party on Saturday, Oct. 30 with a Masquerade Ball from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. Guests donning their best masquerade masks can enter the contest for a chance to win prize money including $1,000 for first place, $300 in 5Church gift cards for second and $200 in 5Church gift cards for third. Winners will be selected that night. The 21+ party also boasts bottle service and music from Noise and Rob Session. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online ASAP and arrive early as there will be limited tables available.

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern offers a full day of fun and ghoulish activities with its brunch and dinner costume contests on Saturday, Oct. 30. Start the magical day with brunch at 11 a.m. or cap the night off for dinner starting at 5 p.m. to enter each contest. When finished dining, guests enter the contest by turning in their receipts and having HOBNOB staff take a photo. Contestants get complimentary shots for participation. First-place winners at Halcyon and Atlantic Station locations receive $500 worth of gift certificates, and Dunwoody and Brookhaven location winners receive $250 worth of gift certificates. Second-place winners at all locations get a fabulous gift basket, and third place wins a bottle of HOBNOB bourbon. To enter both competitions, guests must submit receipts for both brunch and dinner. The party continues well into the night with an after-dinner party starting at 8 p.m. The Dunwoody and Brookhaven celebrations feature DJ tunes while Halcyon and Atlantic Station boast live bands on the first floor and DJs at its rooftop bars. Both parties pour on the fun with spooky shots courtesy of the HOBNOB’s promo team starting at 8 p.m.

Johnny's Hideaway is hosting its annual Halloween costume party on Thursday, Oct. 28, featuring a costume contest with $500 in prizes. Partygoers who are dressed to kill can see if their costumes pass the test.

Guests are invited to explore the diversity of Atlanta’s culinary talent on Sunday, Oct. 31 starting at 4 p.m. Dinner features five courses plus an amuse-bouche for $135 per guest, and each chef is responsible for preparing one course. Ten percent of total sales from the evening will be donated to No Kid Hungry to help end childhood hunger in the United States. Reservations can be made online through Resy.

Tiff’s Treats makes Halloween even sweeter with an offer that’s all treat and no tricks. Guests visiting any Tiff’s Treats location on Oct. 31 wearing a Halloween costume will receive one free cookie.
