Atlanta Restaurants Prepare Egg-cellent Easter Specials

Spring is in the air, and Atlanta chefs are making preparations for Easter celebrations on Sunday, April 4.  From dine-in brunches to take-out dinners, guests have plenty of options for a special meal with family and friends.


Dine-in Meals

  • Hop on over and indulge in 5Church’s Atlanta’s Easter buffets. The Sunrise Buffet features mainly brunch items from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. followed by the Sunset Buffet with mostly dinner items from 4-8 p.m. Buffet prices are $45 per adult and $20 per child. Reservations can be made online. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, the restaurant will have server-attended food stations, temperature checks upon guest arrival and masks required unless seated at a table.

  • Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar lures guests with a special Easter brunch served from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Among the featured selections are wood-fired broiled oysters, brioche cinnamon rolls, lobster and crab French omelet, strawberry rhubarb French toast and braised short rib hash. Drift will not offer dinner service on Easter Sunday.

  • All locations of HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern (Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Halcyon and Atlantic Station) are offering a special Easter brunch and dinner alongside its regular menu. The Easter menu includes roast leg of lamb with smashed fried red potatoes, Brussels sprout gratin and mint pesto ($22), roasted carrots with cashews, cumin yogurt and pickled parsley ($9) and a chocolate lava cake with English cream and raspberries ($11).

  • The hunt is over for the perfect Easter meal this year. Guests are invited to celebrate Easter with Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails. The historic Crabapple restaurant will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 4 and will feature a three-course prix fixe menu priced at $45 for adults and $20 for children.   • The Southern Gentleman is opening early at 10 a.m. on April 4 and serving its classic brunch and dinner menus. Easter specials include coconut cream tart with chantilly, toasted coconut, milk chocolate sorbet and butter cake crumble ($10); white chocolate-glazed éclair with salted caramel and pecan praline ($6); beet-dyed deviled eggs with a whipped deviled filling, smoked pork belly and crispy sweet potato ($10); and a smoked lamb shank with mint, pea and fava bean salad, crispy shallots, and garlic and olive oil whipped potatoes ($46).

  • For a delicious Easter brunch, check out Carson Kitchen in Alpharetta’s City Center. Available for dine-in, pick-up and delivery, Carson Kitchen’s brunch menu offers favorites such as oatmeal brûlée, avocado toast, shrimp and grits and much more.

  • Gypsy Kitchen will open Easter Sunday offering its classic menu along with some special chef features.

  • For those spending Easter Sunday in Athens, plan on brunch at Heirloom Café from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Heirloom’s menu features fresh, local dishes such as Love on a Biscuit with two poached eggs on a buttermilk biscuit with smoked chicken, button mushrooms and arugula in a creamy marinara, French toast with berry compote and pulled pork hash with baked eggs, smoked Comfort Farms pork shoulder, crispy collards, potatoes, onions, carrots and smoked tomato bacon hollandaise.

  • Ocean & Acre will be offering its classic menu plus brunch features on Easter Sunday.

  • Enjoy brunch in East Cobb at Seed Kitchen & Bar on Easter Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 pm. Specials include a bagel and lox plate with beet-cured salmon, roasted garlic cream cheese, capers, onions and salad and fried chicken and pecan waffles with hot sauce butter and maple syrup. With other selections such as strawberry mascarpone French toast, Maryland lump crab eggs Benedict, buttermilk pancakes and more, Seed is the perfect place to dine with family and friends.

  • The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill will be featuring its classic menu along with Easter chef features.  


Takeout and Delivery

  • For those preferring to dine at home without long hours in the kitchen, 5Church Atlanta has the meal covered with its Easter family packages for takeout. Each family package includes a romaine Caesar salad, prime rib, honey baked ham, shrimp creole and three sides all topped off with bourbon bread pudding for dessert. Food will be packaged family-style with reheating instructions. Packages are $80 for two people, $160 for four people and $320 for eight people. Orders must be placed online at least 48 hours in advance for pick up on April 4 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

  • A fabulous Easter meal is a hop, skip and a jump away with the Easter Ham Package from Cowboy Chicken. The wood-fired rotisserie chicken chain expands its expertise to include classic holiday spiral-sliced hams so guests can enjoy a meal with family and friends without spending hours in the kitchen. The $125 meal feeds up to 10 people and features an eight- to 10-pound spiral-sliced ham, Twice Baked Potaters, garden salad, an additional Wild West side and peach cobbler. Meals can be picked up hot and ready to serve or with reheating instructions to serve later. A ham-only option also is available for $65. The Easter Ham Holiday package and hams are available until Easter Sunday, April 4 at participating locations, and orders should be placed early as availability is limited.   • Marlow’s Tavern knows how to do family feasts right. Its Easter brunch feeds five to six people including leftovers. Enjoy a broccoli and Swiss or bacon and cheddar frittata, raspberry French toast casserole, biscuit and sausage gravy, oven-roasted turkey breast with gravy, green bean almondine, pork sausage, roasted potatoes, jalapeño corn grits and New York-style cheesecake for $120.   • Savor a Milton’s Easter Dinner To-Go experience from Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails. The menu boasts a classic spiral cut ham with maple mustard glaze, smoked cheddar mac and cheese, bacon-smothered green beans and lemon pound cake bundlettes. The meal serves four people for $150. Orders can be placed online before April 2 with curbside pick-up on Saturday, April 3 between 12-4 p.m.

  • Although PITA Mediterranean Street Food will be closed on Easter Sunday, the eatery has the perfect meal available for takeout on Saturday, April 3. PITA’s Family Meal serves four people and includes a choice of two proteins, a choice of three sides, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. PITA offers convenient online ordering, with food available for curbside pick-up, delivery and catering. 


Things to Do

  • Restaurateur, chef, speaker and author Kevin Gillespie zooms into home kitchens on Sunday, March 28 for an Easter dinner virtual cooking class. During this two-hour interactive class, Gillespie, who owns Red Beard Restaurants (Gunshow, Revival and Cold Beer), will share some of his favorite make-ahead items.
