Bottoms Up! National Tequila Day is July 24
A whole day dedicated to tequila? Sounds like a good time, especially when mixed with a little salt and lime. National Tequila Day is Saturday, July 24, and Atlanta restaurants are highlighting signature cocktails and rolling out specials to give this popular spirit the celebration it deserves.
5Church Atlanta’s Viper cocktail is a customer favorite and a perfect drink to enjoy on National Tequila Day. The spicy concoction mixes Patron tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cucumber water and cayenne pepper.
Carson Kitchen’s Get Shorty! cocktail is not for the faint of heart. With blanco tequila, grapefruit, fresh lime and cayenne simple syrup, this drink has plenty of kick and is a must-try for tequila-lovers.

Cold Beer’s Margarita Temporada features a twist on the classic margarita with a mix of roasted corn and fermented habanero tequila, blueberry, ginger, lime and huckleberry shrub salt. Head on over to the Atlanta BeltLine with a few friends and enjoy!

Johnny’s Hideaway takes every celebration seriously, and National Tequila Day is no exception. From a classic margarita to tequila shots, the iconic nightclub offers plenty of options to loosen up before hitting the dance floor.
Just in time for National Tequila Day, Little Bear, located on Georgia Avenue in Summerhill, is debuting its Purple Motorcycle cocktail. This riff on a Blue Motorcycle gets its naturally purple coloring from local blueberries used to make blueberry triple sec that is mixed with Arette Blanco tequila, ASW vodka, Still Pond gin, Tessendier Saison rum, lemon and Mexican Coke. The eatery also offers Corralejo, Cimarrón and Arette tequilas and mezcal—all available by the glass or in classic cocktails.
Taco Mac’s spicy blackberry margarita is a zesty sipper for celebrating National Tequila Day that also pairs well with the popular sports bar’s famous chicken wings. The cocktail mixes El Jimador Reposado tequila, crème de mûre, fresh blackberries and jalapeños, fresh lime juice and house-made simple syrup.
Recently opened in Alpharetta’s Halcyon development, Cattle Shed Wine & Steak Bar serves a variety of cocktails to complement its menu of seasonal farm-to-table dishes. For National Tequila Day, guests will be tempted by El Diablo, a potent mix of Ocho Plata single estate tequila, La Valdotaine Dandelion amaro, lime juice and a simple syrup red wine float.
While margaritas seem to garner most of the attention on National Tequila Day, Forza Storico in West Midtown shakes things up with its upgraded paloma. This refreshing cocktail mixes Cazadores Cristalino, ginger, grapefruit, lime, forced carbonation and black lava salt.
With a nod to the Peach State, Marlow’s Tavern’s Peachy Georgia Peach & Ginger margarita is a refreshing taste of the South on National Tequila Day. This flavorful cocktail combines Herradura Reposado, Intense Ginger, fresh lime, peach nectar and agave.
Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails’ Such is Mango! cocktail is a celebration of all the best parts of tequila. With silver tequila, mango purée, fresh citrus juices, Grand Marnier floater and a black lava salt-Tajin rim, this classic concoction gets the party started.
Southern Belle’s Que Lindo Tamarindo cocktail charms guests with a unique blend of mezcal, brandy, tamarind, ginger and red curry.
Fire up taste buds with the Smoke & Fire margarita at The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill. The bartenders at Buckhead’s favorite beach house mix Milagro Silver tequila, Montelobos mezcal, Ancho Reyes Ancho Chili liqueur and sour mix with a chili and salt rim.
Gather with friends at the Woodall and enjoy a hibiscus paloma on National Tequila Day. A delicate, floral take to the traditional paloma, this creation mixes Herradura Reposado, grapefruit, lemon and lime, Herradura agave nectar and 18.21 Hibiscus syrup.
Tin Lizzy’s Cantina joins in the National Tequila Day festivities with food and drink specials all day on July 24. Guests are invited to stop in for $5 Herradura margaritas, $15 Herradura flights and $5 tequila lime shrimp tacos.
Wood’s Chapel BBQ’s Prickly Pineapple cocktail is the perfect accompaniment to the Georgia Avenue in Summerhill eatery’s wood-fire smoked meats and homemade sides. Packing a little heat, this cocktail mixes jalapeño tequila, aloe liqueur, pineapple, lime and soda.
