Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend Around Atlanta
Memorial Day honors military veterans who have given their lives to serve our country. For many Americans, it also marks the start of the summer season. For those enjoying the long weekend at home, Atlanta restaurants are here with specials to boost the celebration.
Keep the party going through Monday with extended mimosa specials at HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern. The Atlantic Station and Halcyon locations are offering $15 mimosa pitchers from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. At the Brookhaven and Dunwoody locations, $17 bottomless mimosas can be enjoyed from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
On Sunday, May 30, Johnny’s Hideaway, Atlanta’s nightclub for big kids, will stay open late with a $5 cover charge. As a thank you to those who bravely serve our country, Johnny’s always waives the cover charge for active military every night of the week.
Feed the whole family with PITA Mediterranean Street Food’s family meal. This deal feeds four people and includes a choice of two proteins, choice of three sides, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. PITA is open with regular hours on Memorial Day and offers convenient online ordering, available for curbside pick-up and delivery.
Southern Belle offers Southern comfort with its At Home Memorial Day special. These heat-and-eat packs include a half dozen smoked wings with Alabama white barbecue sauce, a half rack of baby back ribs with sweet and smokey SoBelle sauce (Memphis-Georgia hybrid), Gouda and pork fat cornbread, mac and cheese, summer field pea salad and peach cobbler. Meals are $40 per person and must be preordered online. Pick-up is available Saturday, May 29.
The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, Atlanta’s beach house, will be open for regular service all weekend, including Monday. Enjoy a beach getaway with fresh seafood even if staying in town.
The Southern Gentleman, Buckhead’s Southern-inspired gastropub, extends its weekend brunch through Memorial Day Monday. Regular supper also will be served in the evening.
